According to ATTOM, 41.9% of mortgaged residential U.S. properties were equity-rich in the final quarter of last year, meaning that their combined estimated amount of loan balances were at most 50% of their estimated market worth.
That’s up from 39.5% in the previous quarter and 30.2% a year earlier.
