Mortgage Rates Rise From 12th Record Low Amid Vaccine Hopes

Mortgage rates have rebounded modestly from their 12th all-time low of 2020 amid encouraging activity around a COVID-19 vaccine. So reports MarketWatch.

According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 2.84% for the week ending November 12, up from a nadir of 2.78% a week earlier.

Matthew Speakman, an economist with Zillow, told MarketWatch that the rise drives home how much the direction of financial departments depends right now on the pandemic.
