According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 7.22% as of November 30, compared with 7.29% a week earlier and 6.49% a year earlier.
Jiayi Xu, an economist at Realtor.com, told CNN that investors seem to have stopped its interest rate hikes, which tend to influence mortgage rates.
