Mortgage Rates Hit New Milestone With Drop Below 2.75%

Mortgage rates have cracked a new watermark in a year of record lows, with the benchmark 30-year fixed-rate mortgage dipping below the 2.75% threshold for the first time ever. So reports Yahoo Finance.

According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate averaged 2.72% in the week ending November 19, down 12 basis points from the week prior and the lowest since the company’s measure began in 1971. It was the 13th all-time low in 2020.

The rate remained at 2.72%, as of November 25.
