Mortgage Forbearance Numbers Improve for Fourth Straight Week

Weekly figures on borrowers who need a break on their mortgage payments have been showing signs of improvement in recent weeks. So reports CNBC.

According to Black Knight, mortgages in active forbearance decreased by 26,000 or 0.7% last week. That’s the fourth consecutive weekly decline for this tally of borrowers who delay their monthly payments for at least three months.

“The next few weeks will provide a lot more clarity as to what the market will look like heading into the end of the year," said Black Knight economist Andy Walden.
