Mortgage Credit Falls to New Six-Year Low

Getting a mortgage was harder in September than it has been in any month for more than six years. That’s according to a new report from the Mortgage Bankers Association.

!--more-->Mortgage credit availability dropped last month by 1.9% to its lowest level since February 2014, according to the MBA.

In August, the mortgage credit supply had fallen to its lowest since March 2014.
