Existing Home Sales Post Biggest Jump in 14 Years

The National Association of Realtors has announced that U.S. existing home sales climbed 9.4% in September to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6.54 million. So reports Business Insider.

The rate is the fastest monthly increase in sales of previously owned homes since 2006, and it’s up 21% from the pace a year earlier.

“Home sales traditionally taper off toward the end of the year, but in September they surged beyond what we normally see during this season,” Lawrence Yun, NAR's chief economist, said in a press release.
