Data from index tracker IDR Investment Management shows that a set of property funds for institutional investors had $20 billion in withdrawal requests at the end of 2022.
John Murray, head of global private commercial real estate at Pacific Investment Management Co., told the news service, “It’s like the nightclub where everybody lines up to get in and then lines up to leave when it closes.”
